The Okavango Craft Brewery is looking for a superstar general/F&B manager to run our Taproom in Maun, Botswana.
The Okavango Craft Brewery is on a mission to reduce elephant-human conflict. We buy millet grown by small-scale farmers in the Okavango Panhandle at above market prices. In return these farmers practice elephant-aware farming practices. We then malt that millet in-house and use it brew awards winning craft beer. Our Panhandle Pale Ale has recently won gold at the African Beer Cup.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for all aspects of the business and brand in Maun including:
- Running a successful kitchen, bar and front of house team.
- Promoting beer culture within Botswana.
- Marketing the taproom to drive footfall and turnover.
- HR - Ownership of the HR function for the taproom team.
- Reporting - Ongoing reporting of key metrics.
- Events - Create events that grow our brand and drive traffic to the
- Environment - Keep the physical environment looking attractive and welcoming.
- Profitability - Managing revenue, Margin and expenses to maintain a profitable business.
The ideal candidate will
- Have trained as a chef and worked in a commercial kitchen for at least 3 years.
- Have run a successful restaurant in the role of GM with full P+L responsibility.
- Show a deep love for craft beer and beverages.
- Enjoy a variety of music, art and culture.
- Be keen for an adventure and have a love of wildlife.
- Be highly proficient in all necessary software and reporting tools.
